Outback Mirage is a warm, earthy meditation on the vastness and mystery of the Australian desert. Rich tones of rust, terracotta, and burnt sienna drift across the surface like windblown dust or sunlit rock formations, capturing the raw energy and quiet stillness of the outback. Using her signature experimental techniques and layered mixed media, Jayda Koludrovic allows natural textures and organic patterns to emerge, echoing the way the land itself is shaped by time, weather, and rhythm. The negative space mirrors the organic formations found in nature - like dried salt plains, cracked earth, or weather-worn stone - offering a sense of movement and balance throughout the piece. Rooted in intuition and deeply influenced by the Australian landscape, Outback Mirage invites the viewer to look closer, to feel the heat and quiet magic of the land.
